Welcome to the Technology and Teacher Education (TATE) Special Interest Group

Our Venue for the 2014 TATE Pre-Conference

DATE: May 24, 2013 (3:00 PM to 5:30 PM) Welch Hall 303

Join us in beautiful St. Catharines, Ontario, for the TATE Pre-Conference 2014 where our theme for this year's conversations will be:

Creating Connections for Canadian Education Faculty and Students through the use of Digital Technologies

This session will provide participants with an opportunity to share and collaborate on how they are using digital technologies to connect faculty and students in Faculties and Schools of Education across Canada. Come ready to share how digital technologies are influencing your teaching practice!  As well, we will have a short workshop on some of the newer strategies and techniques for providing professional development for Higher Education Faculty – you will come away from the session with materials and ideas for promoting technology enhanced teaching at your own university. And, as always, we will wind up our session in a "Birds-of-a-feather" small group activity that allows networking along common research themes. Of course, snacks will be provided. There is a pre-conference fee of $10 for regular members (free for grad students.)

THEN, come and join us for dinner around 6:00 PM to continue our community-building and have fun!! We have made a reservation at The Benchmark, the restaurant of the Niagara College Culinary Institute – where Niagara College students, alongside their supervising chefs , will create culinary masterpieces for us!! It IS that good! (Check it out: http://bit.ly/1hOc2lc)

Our presentations will be held in WELCH HALL on Sunday, March 25th - Wednesday, March 28th! Please check the program guide to locate and participate in these - really exciting papers to be presented - you won't want to miss them!!
